God called Filomena peacefully on August 15, 2015 at the age of 84. She will be forever missed by her loving children; John and Maria; and by her sister Yolanda (Filice Monico). Filomena is reunited in heaven with her husband Mario and brother Santo. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905 850-3332) on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 2-4 p.m., and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave., south of Langstaff Rd.) Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (on Hwy 27 south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Filomena may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
