God called Antonio peacefully on Thursday April 21, 2016 at the age of 87. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Beatrice. Cherished by his dear children, Franca and Marisa Porretta. Proud Nonno to Frank Romano (Claudio), Jason Porretta (Tina), Joseph Porretta and Bisnonno Antonio and Isabella. He will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Saturday April 23, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. Sunday April 24, 2016 from 2-4 p.m., and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 25, 2016 at 11 a.m., at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major MacKenzie Drive, East of Jane). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (on Yonge Street). If so desired, donations in memory of Antonio may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
